SimplePortScanner (Java)

Description: A very very simple port scanner, written in Java, using Swing Technology. For a given IP address and a given port range, it simply tries to establish a TCP connection and waits for success or timeout. Once the range scan is complete, results are displayed in a separate window. This is really a quick and dirty development, not appropriate as an example for good programming.

Actual version: 0.1, created 2002.

Requires: Java Runtime Environment 1.3 or higher

Known bugs: none

Installation instructions: Download file to a local folder. Assuming Java is installed correctly, simply double-click to start.
